Game Navigation
Move around your theme park, and your menus, quickly and easily
In this guide, discover the basics of camera modes and menu navigation, as well as how to adjust game speed.
Navigating Your Park
The best way to learn how to move around your theme park and use the in-game menus is to complete the Prologue in Career mode. The Prologue will give you all the information you need to create and manage your parks, all while showing it in action.
To view the specific controls for your chosen platform, check out our Controls Overview (including useful shortcuts).
Camera Modes
Exploring your park has never been simpler! There are a few different ways you can look around your theme park.
Switch between these camera modes to see every detail:
- Normal – moves and rotates the camera around a fixed point in front of it.
- Freelook – moves and rotates the camera around itself.
- 1st Person – moves the camera around at guest height, allowing you to experience your park from their point of view.
- Cinematic – positions the camera, changing the angles automatically, to follow guests, entertainers and even your rides to get the best view of the action.
- Guest – see through your guests’ eyes as they explore the park, jump on rides and slide down flumes. Switch to different viewpoints on rides by cycling through seats, rows and carriages.
- Interest – allows you to choose which camera angle you want to see most. Different attractions will have different options to choose from.
- Ride Cam – accessible via a ride's info panel, you can enjoy a ride yourself, choosing the train, car and seat to view from.
