Gift Shops & Services

Gift Shops and Guest Services are a great way to provide your guests with amazing mementos and useful items for their time in your park.

Gift shops don’t just sell fun merchandise for your guests to take home! They also sell handy items for guests to use in the park, like inflatables for chilling in the pool or hats to keep cool and avoid sunburn.

In Planet Coaster 2, we have new and returning stalls for guests to browse and shop!

Hat’s Fantastic

Guests can get in the mood for excitement and grab hats decorated with their favourite mascots from across your park with Hat’s Fantastic.

Other than looking really cool, hats will protect your guests from sunburn on hot days at your park.

Just A Momento

Your guests have made wonderful memories at your theme park. Now they can take home something to remember it from Just a Memento!

Selling keyrings and plushies, this gift shop is perfect for placing next to rides so guests can grab knickknacks of their favourite mascots to remember all the fun they’ve had. Plus, they can purchase keepsakes that they can use in the parks, like t-shirts and hoodies.

Loony Blooons

You’d be crazy not to grab a balloon from Loony Blooons! Guests can purchase fun, coloured balloons or designs featuring the wonderful mascots of Planet Coaster 2.

Splash Emporium

Dive into the fun with incredible inflatables from Splash Emporium! Selling lilos and pool rings this shop is ideal for placing nearby your water rides and pools.

While seemingly impossible, your guests can carry pool rings in their pockets! They will purchase these items to chill out and relax in your pools and lazy rivers.

Guest Services

Guests will check in at Guest Services to grab their pool passes as well as all kinds of useful items your guests will need in the park.  

Guest Services sell items like suncream and umbrellas as well as pool and priority passes. It’s vital to have these shops at high traffic points across your parks as pool passes are the only way guests can enter your pools!

Modular Souvenir Shops

There’s nothing better than exiting through the gift shop! Create fun shopping areas for your guests to explore with pre-built blueprints or let your creativity take over with modular shop tills.

Building a Modular Souvenir Shop

Even thrill seekers need a break from the rides sometimes, so allow your guests to give into a little retail therapy. Modular souvenir shops in Planet Coaster allow you to set up the perfect place for your guests to browse and buy all kinds of themed merchandise!

Plus, they add a boost to your theme park’s economy all while fulfilling your guest’s Souvenir need. For more information about looking after guest needs, check out our Guest guide.

Each modular souvenir shop’s InfoPanel will show: 

• The parent shop
• The number of vacant shelves
• The number of purchasable items
• How many guests have visited that day
• Amount of profit made that day
• Staff zone the shop is in
• Power used

Customising your Merchandise

Curating your souvenir shop’s merchandise is a great way to organise purchasable items across your parks; bring that theming down to the tiniest detail! 

Modular Souvenir Shop Catalogue

Your Modular Souvenir Shops can sell a variety of merchandise to your guests. Customise what you’d like to sell in the Catalogue tab of the InfoPanel by selecting a category. The shelves will automatically populate with these sellable items.

• Pool Floats
• Character Balloons
• Posters
• Jigsaws
• Pool Rings
• Luxury Balloons
• Novelty Hats
• Umbrellas
• T-Shirts
• Plushies
• Keyrings
• Mugs
• Caps 

Select the cog button next to each category to choose which variation of each item is available to guests. The best place to sell Bard balloons in your Mythology themed areas!

Toggle item visuals On or Off in the InfoPanel, letting you to still sell your chosen merchandise but allowing you to decorate the shelves with scenery items.

You can also adjust the cost of your sellable items in the InfoPanel, choosing between Bargain and Custom pricing as explained in our Managing Vendors section below.

Arcades

Guests can win prizes and make fun-filled memories with Arcades in Planet Coaster 2. Arcades are customisable areas of your park where you can set up Arcade Machines and Prize Counters for your guests' amusement!

Create fun areas for your guests to win prizes and fulfil their Entertainment Need between thrilling coaster rides. Customise pre-built blueprints, or design your own perfect arcade space from scratch with scenery items.

Arcade Machines

Take a look at the selection of Arcade Machines you can choose from in the Entertainment Tab of the Browser. Your Arcade Machines are separated out in to three different types:

Ticket Machines

• Alley-Oop
• Claw Machine (Ticket)
• Feat of Strength
• Hoop Throw
• Popup Panic
• Yeet Ball

Chance Prize Machines

• Claw Machine
• Fortune Machine
• Token Tumble

Game Machines

• Atari Asteroids® Arcade Cabinet
• Atari Centipede® Arcade Cabinet
• Paddle Battle
• Atari Pong® Arcade Cabinet
• Video Game Cabinet

Chance Prize Machines, like the Token Tumble and Claw Machine, may give out prizes depending on their set difficulty, while the Fortune Machine has a luck setting, dispensing a Good, Neutral or Bad Fortune Slip based on the Player Luck percentage. You can also set up Game Machines like Paddle Battle, which are just fun games for your guests to play! Be sure to vary the types of Machines in your Arcade to keep your Guests engaged!

Some machines dispense Tickets, which can be traded in for a prize at a connected Prize Counter. You can set the prizes on offer, and their ticket cost, at the Prize Counter. You can see the difficulty of machines to decide how likely they are to dispense a prize (Chance Prize Machines), or a higher number of tickets (Ticket Machines). More tickets mean more prizes claimed, which in turn means happier guests, but the cost of those prizes comes out of your Park's cash.

All Arcade Machines have colour customisation available, apart from Atari® machines. Each machine has a price per use which can be set to Bargain, or Custom to offset the running costs of your arcade.

Ticket Machines

Park Managers can adjust the difficulty of the arcade game and the minimum & maximum number of tickets a guest can win.

Chance Prize Machines

Park Managers can adjust guests' chance of winning a prize.

Game Machines

Park Managers can adjust the Game Duration from 30 seconds up to 120 seconds.

Prizes

Guests can turn in their tickets and collect prizes from a Prize Counter, connected to an arcade. Each arcade can offer a selection of prizes, including:

• Plush Toys
• Key Rings
• Mascot Props
• Jigsaws
• Posters

To have a working Prize Counter, it must be within range of a power source, and be staffed by a Vendor.

Food & Drink Shops

Keep your guests happy and full of energy by building food and drink vendors throughout your theme park!

It’s up to you how you incorporate them into the park, whether that’s as fantastic food courts where guests can chill out and grab a bite to eat or as specialist vendors in themed areas of your park.

For a quick refuel, guests can grab snacks and drinks from vending machines as well!

Chief Beef

Keep your guests fuelled for fun with delicious, juicy burgers from Chief Beef. Just add cheese, lettuce and other toppings!

Viva La Vegan

Everyone can eat something tasty at Viva La Vegan! Guest can choose between Bean and Breakfast Burritos, all without animal products.

Gelato Bros

Gelato Bros offer a range of sweet and creamy treats for your guests, including classic flavours like Vanilla Gelato and exciting options like Lemon Sorbet.

Haya Sushi

Perfect for an on-the-go savoury treat, Haya Sushi has several delicious items for fish-lovers and vegetarians.

Hot Dog Squad

At Hot Dog Squad, guests can purchase a theme park classic! There’s something for everyone with Meat, Vegetarian and Gluten Free options.

Pizza Pen

Guests can grab cheesy, yummy slices of pizza from Pizza Pen, including classic cheese, pepperoni and vegetarian.

Cosmic Cow Milkshakes

Yummmooo! Guests can sip on thick, flavourful milkshakes that’ll satisfy their taste buds, like banana and chocolate.

Gulpee Soda

Guests can get their sugar fix with Gulpee the dinosaur at Gulpee Soda, with classic and exotic flavours to choose from.

Latte Love

Keep your guests energised and caffeinated with a range coffees from Latte Love. Add a range of delicious spices to appeal to more customers!

Pipshot Juice

For health-conscious guests, Pipshot Juice offers refreshing, fruity drinks that the whole family can enjoy.

Slush Hour

Sugary and wonderfully cold, Slush Hour’s slushies are the perfect thing to keep your guests cool on a hot day at the theme park.

Soda Lightful

For guests that want a little less sugar, Soda Lightful offers diet and sugar-free drinks to quench their thirst.

Photo Kiosks

Guests can purchase a memento of their time at your theme park by buying a Ride Photo from a Photo Kiosk. Learn more about setting up Ride Photos in our Coaster & Ride Building Guide.

However you choose to serve up tasty treats to your guests, you can customise each and every booth you place to fit your dream park theme.

Each food and drink shop within Planet Coaster 2 has a Shop and Counter option for building, allowing you to create the ideal space for guests to enjoy a delicious lunch or quick food refuel!

When building in your park you can Create Custom or use Blueprints. Blueprints allow you to place Shells on your facility buildings while Create Custom allows you to place scenery pieces to make your own buildings.

Ensuring your shops run smoothly will require you to juggle finances and staff. Managing the staff for each of your shops is simple using the shop menus.

Within each shop's InfoPanel, you’ll be able to see which staff member is assigned to the shop, as well as how many hours the shop is staffed and unstaffed. The Staff Schedule button will take you to the currently assigned staff member's schedule. From this view, you can also change the schedule filters to view all Vendors in the zone, for example allowing you to organise break cover.

Setting Prices

• Bargain Pricing – Automatically sets prices in shops to the cheapest possible price. This will keep guests happy but remember you’ll need to cover your running costs.
• Custom Pricing – Set the prices yourself! Adjust the cost of all products in your shops to suit the luxury of your park. Just make sure your guests can afford to buy them...
