We've been celebrating in style recently with the brand new Parades Pack, and we've thoroughly enjoyed seeing all your delightfully whimsical processions and park builds. In this month's Park Manager's Handbook, we've put together some tips and tricks for building your first Parade, with fantastic inspiration and a fun-filled Workshop Challenge to get involved with!

Let's get the party started in Planet Coaster 2! Our Workshop Challenge for this month is 'Cheerful Celebrations'.

Upload your show-stopping Parades and sparkling fireworks blueprints to the Workshop by 7pm BST on 24th July, with the challenge name in the title.

We can't wait to see what you can create with the new celebration scenery from Update 10 and the Parades Pack.

Parades Tips & Tricks

We've collected some of our best tips and tricks, whether you're building your first Parade or you want to add a little more pizzazz to your next one! If you want more in-depth information about creating a Parade, check out our Parades guide.

Plotting your Parade Route

Getting your Parade set up starts with using the right Track! There are two Track types you can use for build a Parade:

• Path Track
• Standard Track

Path tracks provide a walkable area of guests when a Parade isn't running, whereas Standard tracks can only be used by Parade trains and performers.

Standard tracks are ideal for start and finish areas, or 'back lot' style areas for your Parade.

Both types of track can have pathing added alongside it with the Parallel Path setting, allowing guests to stand to the side and watch your Parade as it passes by!

Add Variety to Your Parade

Make your Parade interesting to watch for your guests by selecting a variety of Trains to hold your floats. There are three Train types to choose from:

• Small 
• Large
• Bridge - These are two small floats that move together, letting you create a connect design!

The more space you create with your starting area, the more trains can be added to your Parade. You can also space your Parade trains out by adding rows of Parade Performers, from Attendants to your favourite Entertainers!

Not only will having a selection of Trains make your Parade more interesting, but it will give you a range of spaces to create some weird and wonderful floats!

Before you start placing scenery pieces, make sure you have a theme in mind for your Parade and each float so you feel confident in what you're building.

Tools for Customising Floats

The Parade Pack comes with hundreds of new scenery pieces perfect for designing and creating whimsical Parade floats to delight your guests! However, you can use almost any scenery piece to decorate a Parade, from Viking shields and space ship part to special effects.

Some great starting ideas for Parade floats are:

• Theme each float around your parks Entertainers
• Theme each float around an area of your park e.g. A Sorcery themed float to match your magical/fairytale area
• Theme each float for each food vendor at your park, like Gelato Bros or Cosmic Cow

There are a selection of Float bases that can be used as a starting point, creating a flat area to begin building. Use tools like Twinning and Symmetry to quickly and simply add decorative pieces to each float.

Did you know?

As part of Free Update 10 your Entertainers now have emissive elements to them! Add Entertainers to your Parade as Performers walking alongside your floats or make them a part of the float design with Performer Platforms.

If you've grabbed the Parades Pack, there's also a big selection of scenery items that can be added to your floats that will illuminate your processions for magical night time experience!

Now we've given you our beginner tips to get started, it's time for you to create amazing processions and conduct a concerto of celebration for the first time in the Planet Coaster series with the Parades Park. Cue the fireworks!
